UNIL - Storage cluster - HPC Filesystem

2.5 Description détaillée du projet
Acquisition of an HPC parallel storage file system including hardware and all the necessary software. The storage cluster will be connected natively to a new HPC cluster and a pair of legacy clusters via two Ethernet/Infiniband gateways
The proposed solution must support or include:
- A net storage capacity of non-compressible 1PB of source data with an option to expand the system to 6 PB.
- 2 billion files per system file.
- Snapshot management by filesystem
- Initial minimum R/W performance of 10^5 IOPS/W and 10^4 IOPS/R for files smaller than 64 KB and 10^3 IOPS R/W for files of 1 MB.
- Initial bandwidth of 10 GB/s R/W
- Server side and client side SSD cache.
- Infiniband HDR and Ethernet 100 Gb.
- Delivery, installation and configuration
- NBD support 4 years
- Delivery until 12/18/2020
